Topic Three: Rhinoceros | Portrait/Propaganda

I aimed to do good propaganda. Also I wanted it to be funny not serious. The only person I can make fun of and get away with it - it's me! And my dog Fargo which I adopted a few years ago.

My propaganda is based on the idea of "dog people". The term "a dog person" refers to a person who owns a dog. By doing this propaganda I wanted to show how a person who adopts a dog becomes a " dog person".  Because we spent a lot of time taking care of them, they became a part of our family and our life. When I walk with Fargo I meet dog owners and we talk a lot about our pets, what they like to do and what not, what they are scary of. Also, I am appealing to adopt dogs (and cats too!) in a funny way.

I chose to do very dramatic background (red and dark grey) something close to World War propaganda posters in Eastern Europe about the Red Army. I decided to do it digitally so it's not that serious if I would paint it. The overall look of portraits is abstract, less details, very modern propaganda. I also decided to place portraits to the bottom right looking up like on real propaganda posters.

I used Photoshop and mainly Photoshop brushes to do this project.
